Job Description
The Lift Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and inspection of ski lifts and related equipment utilized in on-mountain operations. This is a technical position that requires learning all aspects of resort and mountain operations. This position reports to the Lift Maintenance Director.

Essential Job Functions
Assist in scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of lifts and related equipment
Assist in maintaining maintenance records
Assist in lift operations including operating ski lifts;
Being familiar with location of ski lifts on the mountain
Know how to turn on & operate the lift controls
Run lift on auxiliary or evacuation diesels
Manage maintenance tools and equipment
Assist in daily preventative maintenance inspections
Communicate effectively with co-workers & supervisors about maintenance issues
Update maintenance procedures & maintain records
Develop a working knowledge of the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board (CPTSB) & American National Standards Institute (ANSI) codes pertaining to ski lifts
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements
Must be 18 years or older
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid, current, unrestricted driverβs license required
Previous mechanical experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to communicate and follow oral or written directions in English is required
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers & supervisors
Ability to work in collaboration with others to achieve team goals
Ability to remain focused, organized, flexible, and detail-oriented
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Follows all safety policies and procedures and exercises caution when working
Additional Information
Work environment and physical demands
Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of time
Regularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
Must be able to frequency lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
