Entry Level Warehouse Maintenance Tech

Warehouse Maintenance Technician 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 5:00PM-1:00AM 

Hourly Rate: $19.00-$22.00 + $1.50 per hour for shift differential PAID WEEKLY

Major Responsibilities 

* Monitor facility activities to promote a safe work environment.
* Preventative maintenance and repair of conveyor system.
* Preventative maintenance of industrial fork lift batteries.
* Keep Manager informed of operational issues and/or problems.
* Communicate with Leaders and associates of work to be performed and/or status
of equipment; perform necessary equipment adjustments, repairs,
modifications, and/or preventative maintenance as appropriate; Observe and/or
test the adjustments, repairs, or modifications to ensure safe operation;
Notify affected Leaders.
* Understand and demonstrate Essendant’s Values and Safety Accountabilities.
* Performs other duties as assigned.


Skills/Knowledge Preferred:

* Ability to perform all required tasks within the scope of Maintenance
Associate 1
* Perform required tasks and functions in accordance with applicable Standard
Operating Procedures, rules, and established processes.
* Ability to be trained and certified on PIT equipment.
* Ability to pass NFPA 70E Standards for Electrical Safety Arc Flash training.
* Must be able to utilize job specific technology (email and CMMS on a computer
or tablet).
* Maintain, organize, and support issued equipment and tools.
* Perform all tasks in a safe manner, following all safety rules and
guidelines.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with housekeeping of the
facility/work area.
* Assist in other Distribution Center functions, as required.
* Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
* Must possess problem solving skills.
* Ability to apply specialized skill training to make decisions and
recommendations.
