Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for preventative maintenance and assisting in the repairs of mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems to ensure the safety and dependability of the equipment and facility. The Maintenance Technician I have basic technical knowledge with an eagerness to learn.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs routine preventative maintenance on production equipment and facilities. Records maintenance and repairs within CMMS system.
Assists in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of equipment.
Maintains appropriate inventory of maintenance spare parts and supplies.
Maintains lock-out-tag-out and SDS information for maintenance department under the direction of the Maintenance Manager; provides workplace safety and security.
Assists in developing and implementing maintenance procedures and techniques for safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment and facilities.
Required Skills:
Analytical ability with a high focus on safety and quality.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written.
Basic math and computer skills required.
Attention to detail.
Good problem-solving skills.
Basic understanding of mechanical systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and agricultural experience.
1+ years of experience in related field.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver’s license
