Description
Betts Truck Parts and Service is now hiring for an Entry-Level Hydraulic Cylinder Rebuilder at our San Leandro facility. This is a full-time, day shift position, Monday through Friday.

Our Portland service department operates Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the disassembly, inspection, reassembly, and testing of hydraulic cylinders, including single-stage and multi-stage types, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.
· Positively represents Betts to all customers, vendors associates and other contacts in a respectful and professional manner.
· Applicant must be bi lingual in Spanish and English
· Examines cylinder and discusses with Lead the nature and extent of damage or malfunction.
· Completes paper work documenting parts needed and description of work to be performed.
· Replaces components such as seals shafts housings and related parts.
· Must have a basic knowledge of mechanical properties.
· Must know how to properly use a cutting torch and have the capability to weld.
· Must have a basic understanding of safety procedures while using lifting equipment.
· Must have a basic understanding of measure components and verify if they are in or out of specifications.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Applicant must be bi-lingual in Spanish and English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid drivers license recommended to move vehicles in and out of shop. Commercial drivers license preferred.
