Our dynamic and successful Civil Drainage Group is seeking a full-time Entry Level Civil Drainage Engineer. This position would be based in our Minneapolis, MN; St. Paul, MN; or Fargo, ND office. As an Entry Level Civil Drainage Engineer, you will be exposed to a wide variety of innovative and diverse projects. Projects may include urban design, highway design, multimodal and trail design for a variety of clients.
Responsibilities:
Tasks you may perform include design calculations, cost estimates and plan production. Occasional field walks and onsite construction observations may require local travel. Specific tasks include:
Roadway drainage system layout and design, including storm sewer and culvert design.
Design of Best Management Practices (BMPs) such as wet ponds, infiltration basins, filtration ditches, etc.
Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling.
Design of erosion control and sediment management BMPs.
Stormwater permitting.
Ability to engage in a positive work environment with an open mind to learning new skills and software(s) associated with typical project requirements.
Be an active participant on a collaborative design team with other groups/disciplines within SRF.
Exhibit quality day-to-day work in line with SRF’s quality management plan.
Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree from an accredited school.
Successful completion of the FE exam or ability to take the FE exam within six months of employment.
Valid driver’s license.
Related internship experience preferred.
Salary: $80,500
Compensation is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, job location, internal equity, market analysis, and specific qualifications relevant to the role.
