Houston is one of the hiring hubs for this central regional fleet, a short drive down 290. If your CDL is fresh, you train on the road with pay, then run a regional area instead of the whole map.
Your First Months
4 to 6 weeks with an experienced trainer, $650 a week
Full solo pay the moment you finish
$1,000 a week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo
What You Earn
$1,100 to $1,400 average weekly gross
1,700 to 2,000 miles a week
$15 stop pay, performance bonus on top
How It Runs
Central regional freight through Texas and nearby states
Often routed through your house between loads
Home every 2 weeks
Varied customers, no single dedicated account

Requirements
At least 21 with a valid Class A CDL
120+ hours from an accredited CDL school, no experience needed
Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years
Max 2 moving violations in 2 years, no major preventable accidents in 5 years, no DUI/DWI in 5 to 10 years
Pass hair and urine drug testing
