Full-time
On-site
Terrebonne and Lafourche drivers: a company that hires new CDL holders and pays them to train.
Finished CDL school and keep hearing "come back with experience"? This fleet hires you now. Big map, lots of freight, steady miles.
The money
Paid every week during training
$1,000 a week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo
$1,200 to $1,800 a week once solo
1,800 to 2,900 miles a week
$15 stop pay
Weekly direct deposit
Your week
Everything east of Denver except the Northeast. A mix of drop and hook, live loads and preloads. Out about two weeks, then home for your reset.
From CDL school to your own truck
A recruiter calls you and reviews your CDL and driving record with you.
Orientation, 2 days at most. Hotel paid, one-way bus ticket reimbursed, $300 for orientation once hired.
4 to 6 weeks with a mentor: backing, trip planning, logs and fueling. You are paid every week.
Your own assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average, automatic or 10-speed. For your first 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week.
Straight answers for new drivers
"How often will I see home?" Every two weeks.
"Will one ticket disqualify me?" Not by itself. Up to 2 moving violations in the past 2 years is accepted.
"What if I have a problem on the road?" Loads are planned for you, and your driver leader picks up the phone.
"Does my CDL school count?" If it was 120 hours or more, yes.
"What if my first solo weeks are slow?" You still get at least $1,000 a week for your first 3 months solo.
