What to Expect
You'll work alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams, contributing to real-world engineering projects from day one while developing your skills and progressing your career.

Work on technically interesting electrical engineering projects across rail, transit, and facilities
Be part of a collaborative, supportive engineering team in our San Jose practice
Develop hands-on experience with industry-leading tools including ETAP and AGi32

What You'll Do

Design & Calculations
Produce electrical calculations and designs in accordance with NEC, NFPA 70E, NESC, local codes, and design criteria manuals
Perform volt drop, lighting, motor starting, conduit, and wire sizing calculations
Prepare lighting simulations using AGi32
Prepare ETAP power system studies

Technical Delivery
Prepare markups for electrical drawings and draft technical reports
Review shop drawings and product data sheets
Prepare spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations as required
Read, interpret, and implement requirements from manuals and electrical specifications

Collaboration & Communication
Participate in weekly project team meetings, both in-person and via Teams
Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. programme (required)
NCEES Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or ability to obtain within one year of hire
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and time management
Motivated, eager to learn, and comfortable working independently or collaboratively

Desirable but non-essential
Prior experience with ETAP or Autodesk software
Familiarity with AGi32 lighting simulation
