We are looking for an Entry-Level Project Accountant to join our team in our Baltimore, MD office. This position is responsible for the project billing and administrative support processes which include:
* Effectively communicating with Project and Task Managers, regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications
* Preparing final invoice package for assigned projects, including all applicable supporting documentation for approval by Accounting Supervisor
* Delivering final invoices to the client based on their specific requirements
* Maintaining hard and soft files for our records
* Researching any unbilled issues to optimize billing each cycle
* Setting up new projects and budgets in accordance with Firm policy
* Entering sub-consultant invoices after thorough review for accuracy and properness
* Generating and distributing project/contract reports as required
Requirements:
* Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
* 0-4 years of relevant experience. Previous experience working in accounting operations for construction, architecture, engineering or other project based professional services company would be beneficial but on-site training will be provided to the right candidate.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required with strong skills in Excel
* Adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Detail oriented, able to work independently and efficiently
* Ability to work overtime when required

The expected hourly compensation range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
