Purpose of the Role

Mandelbaum Barrett PC is seeking an entry-level Litigation Legal Assistant for our Greenwich office. This full-time, in-person role (Monday–Friday) provides administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling civil, commercial, and employment matters in Connecticut and New York courts.

The ideal candidate is a recent college graduate or early-career professional with a strong interest in the legal field who is eager to start a career in a law firm environment. This position offers hands-on exposure to litigation while working closely with experienced attorneys and legal professionals.

Responsibilities

* Assist attorneys and legal staff with day-to-day litigation support and case management.
* Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and court filings.
* Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.
* Track deadlines, court dates, and case milestones using firm calendaring systems.
* Coordinate scheduling for depositions, hearings, meetings, and client calls.
* Assist with preparing materials for hearings, depositions, and trials.
* Communicate professionally with attorneys, staff, court personnel, and vendors.
* Perform administrative and organizational tasks to support litigation matters.
* Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
* Support attorneys with additional projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree required.
* Open to all candidates meeting the educational requirements; recent college graduates or early-career professionals with an interest in the legal field are encouraged to apply.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Compensation & Benefits: This position offers a salary range of $50,000 - $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. Support staff may also be eligible for discretionary year-end bonuses and a merit-based increase. The posted salary range reflects the base pay range for this position.
